The worst part about filming the ‘Real Housewives of New York’

The past never quite stays in the past for the “Real Housewives.”

Appearing at Refinery29’s “The Mention Pop-Up” Wednesday, New York stars Ramona Singer, Dorinda Medley and Tinsley Mortimer said rehashing previous moments while shooting confessionals is the worst part of the show.

“After we stop filming, we have to do those several months later,” explained Mortimer, 42. “You have to go back in time and then talk about things. It gets uncomfortable.”

Addressing her drama with co-star Sonja Morgan, Mortimer said she was hurt by her former roommate’s remarks following a year of personal turmoil.

“When I saw what Sonja said about me, my family sort of, the way I came back to New York,” she recalled. “I was so mad. It is really, really tough.”

While Mortimer and Morgan are “great” now, Singer, 61, who has appeared on all 10 seasons of the Bravo series, added, “Confessionals are the worst part. They’re definitely cringe-worthy sometimes.”

With Season 10’s reunion still a ways away, Medley, 53, also revealed the cast has to prep for the couch catfights by watching the last six to seven episodes a week before filming.

“So we’re really hyped up,” she said.
