Ozzy Osbourne may have been the most reluctant reality star ever.
The Black Sabbath frontman hated “The Osbournes,” his son Jack revealed to People.
“After ‘The Osbournes,’ he just hated reality TV,” Jack said. “He hated the experience, he hated the way he was portrayed. He was like, ‘It’s not what I do. I’m a musician.’ ”
Despite being portrayed as a mumbling, bumbling buffoon on the MTV hit series from 2002 to 2005, Ozzy returned to the genre for “Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour,” which kicked off its third season earlier this month.
The show features the rocker doing everything from explosives training to goat yoga, which he admitted was relaxing and “quite nice.”
Ozzy previously told Rolling Stone that he agreed to a third season of the show in order to ease his own tensions leading up to his farewell tour.
“I didn’t want to get on a horse and break my leg or something,” he said. “The touring Ozzy is a different Ozzy from the not-touring Ozzy. In the season before this, we were riding a tank and all this. I was carefree. On this one, I was anxious. I could’ve injured myself or fell down or done something stupid. I was trying not to do something stupid and break my arm or something. I didn’t want to get too crazy with things.”
